Los premios de la música británica

Después de
muchos cambios de nombre (y patrocinios), hoy lo conocemos como el Barclaycard Mercury Prize
(más por su patrocinador oficial, es decir, los que firman el cheque para las bandas.). Los 12 nominados se
anunciaron desde julio y como siempre son elegidos por músicos, directores,
periodistas y figuras dentro de la industria musical de esos dos países.
Especialmente el Mercury Prize tiene fama de nunca darle el premio al favorito
de la gente, salvo en 2004 cuando se lo dieron a Franz Ferdinand y 2006 cuando
ganaron los Arctic Monkeys.
