Buffalo Girls

In rural Thailand, the buffalo is revered by farmers and symbolizes work, patience, strength, and loyalty. In the big cities of Thailand, the word Buffalo has taken on another meaning – a derogatory way of describing someone from the provinces; someone who works hard but doesnt think or talk much. This is the story of two young girls, Stam and Pet, to whom both definitions apply.
