This film is a moving drama about a mother struggling to cope with her daughters addiction. Fayes world revolves around grown daughter Sylvie who, months after a car accident, still complains of being in constant pain. It becomes clear to everyone but Faye that Sylvie is addicted to pain killers. When Beckett moves to town, Faye quickly befriends him, hoping that he might raise Sylvies spirits. As Beckett finds himself further intertwined in their lives, he helps Faye realize the depth of her daughters problem, while falling for the older of the women. When Fayes hand is forced she must decide whether to enable her daughters addiction or find the happiness that she has long denied herself.
